John Gordon Construction is an established General and Roofing Contractor operating in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional sectors.

We’re a fourth generation construction company with history dating all the way back to 1911. Operating for over 100 years has helped us build a brand that stands for integrity, honesty and expertise. We still believe in the business culture that founded the company – quality and honest work will pay the bills.

It is the company’s firm belief that our construction organization must have a dedicated and experienced staff to be effectively qualified for either discipline.

To our clients, we offer services in all construction disciplines, from minor repair work to major renovations and additions, as well as new building construction and plant relocation. For additional electrical and mechanical requirements we work with a team of knowledgeable contractors. As part of the construction team, they will complete projects successfully and to the clients utmost satisfaction.

Our Team

Jeff Vandrish, President

Jeff is a graduate of the Algonquin College Civil Engineering Technology program and has worked on a multitude of projects with a focus on technical, time sensitive projects. His past positions include engineering/research technologist, project manager, estimator, carpenter and site superintendent. Jeff is active in the community, volunteering for numerous organizations.

Mary Regan, Accounting, Admin

Mary has worked in the accounting field for the past 12 years and worked for the Federal Government as a meteorologist for 23 years.

Robert J. (Bob) Donaher Vice-President
Gold Seal Certified

Bob is a member and is certified by the Canadian Health Engineering Society on guide-lines and codes, necessary for the construction of health-care buildings, as well as having a Gold Seal Superintendent Certification, through the Canadian Construction Association for code and ethics. Bob has worked on countless projects including the construction of two new fire stations, (Cornwall & Brockville), major renovations at the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital, and construction of a 36 bed seniors home to name but a few. Industrial work experience ranges from plant relocations to minor renovations. Bob is a member of the Martintown Mill Preservation Society, an active member of Martintown community events and in the past he’s been a volunteer firefighter, a member of the local Optimist Club and a trainer for the CharLan Minor Hockey Association.

Dan DesjardinsProject Manager / Estimator

Dan joined the team in 2001, bringing with him over 42 years of experience in the construction field. Orginially from the Maritimes, Dan is RS Means qualified Estimator and BCIN (Building Code Identification Number) certified for housing and small buildings up to three stories and 6500 square feet. He was the Clerk of Works for both the Cornwall Courthouse addition and renovations, as well as for the Ontario Realty Corporation.

Wayne DerochieRoofing Superintendent

Wayne is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable roofers in the industry. His reputation extends throughout Eastern Ontario, where he is known as one of the best roofers in the area.
